Dr. Kai-Ping Wang is a Distinguished Fellow of both the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. After graduating from the New Jersey Medical School, he went on to complete his general psychiatry training at New York Medical College at Saint Vincents and his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the NYU Child Study Center. He continues to maintain his dual board certification in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Wang is a Psychiatric Director at High Focus Centers and is helping establish the eating disorder partial and IOP track at their Parsippany location. Scott also serves on multiple journal editorial boards and has published in various group work journals.
Through his doctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Scott developed an MSW course curriculum integrating social work theory with sociometry, psychodrama, and trauma therapy. He teaches this course as an adjunct professor at Bryn Mawr College’s graduate social work program. Furthermore, he served as an editor on a historically significant project - the newly published autobiography of Dr. Jacob L. Moreno, the founder of sociometry, psychodrama, and group psychotherapy. Scott also serves on multiple journal editorial boards and has published in various group work journals.
